$714 K per Unemployed Person Since 2008

Since 2008 the deficit has increased by $10 Trillion Dollars. The number of unemployed people in the country has averaged a bit under 14M every month. If the increase in the deficit had just been parsed out and given as checks to the unemployed they would have rec'd $714,000 each over four years or $14,875 per month per person. That would make quite a dent in a recovery. Call me a tightwad but $4,000 per person per month would still be a heck of a dent.

My argument with the current administration has nothing to do with the intentions of the incumbents, every goal they have is worthy (well almost every goal -- screwing the pension funds and non-UAW unions on GM/Chrysler bankruptcy was a crime.)

I don't understand why the execution is so expensive and ineffective.
